YOGA TEACHER TRAINING FOUNDATION COURSE WITH YOGABEEZ
Through a passion-fueled partnership with the fabulous Yoga Teacher Training company, YogaBeez, eduSOIL is working to to enable more youth to gain access to the benefits of yoga by supporting the training and employment of children’s yoga teachers.
Yogabeez Founder, Bryony Duckitt (Ms Bee!!!) offers the The Yoga Teacher Training Foundation Course workshop to yoga teachers, nursery and primary school teachers, therapists or parents who want to start introducing yoga into the lives of children they work with.
It focuses on nursery, preschool and primary school age children, and the foundations for teaching a well-rounded class. Foundation Course Module 1 is a 4-day teacher training - a certificate of attendance is given on completion of the weekend. This module enables you to start teaching yoga to children straight away, eligible for insurance and is recognised by Yoga Alliance International. Applicants who engage in this teacher training, through eduSOIL, are liable to points 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 of our Training and Employment terms and conditions.

- Practice and play with essential warm ups, breathing techniques and child appropriate poses - Discover and practice classroom management skills - Have fun with partner poses and group yoga games - Understand mindfulness for children - See how yoga comes to life with music and books - Experience the joy of affirmations and relaxation - Explore the brief history of yoga and the 8 fold path - Stages of Child Development (ages 2 - 11) - Learn how to incorporate education and exercise stimulating the “Whole” child - Discuss the ethics of a good teacher yoga teacher - Explore the educators, yogis and psychologists who have inspired this program - Observation, discussion, preparation and teaching your first class with this age group WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

eduSOIL is helping YogaBeez facilitate the eduSOIL Children’s Yoga Teacher Training Scholarship programme for marginalised individuals in SA who have a passion for yoga and working with children, but lack the financial means to participate in trainings that could deepen their yoga practice and enable their employment as children’s yoga teachers.
