Yoga, Meditation, Nature & Art Immersions

Restoration Day RETREATS
Go deep by having a day of fasting, silence, yoga, meditation and nature immersion. The fasting practices include refraining from eating food, using mobiles and laptops as well as staying in silence. In contrast, and in balance, the feasting practices involve developing a heightened awareness of the nourishment provided by the nature elements that can ease and energise our minds and bodies. 

Develop non-judgemental awareness of your body, breath, thoughts​ &​ emotions by listening deeply to your body as you move, the sounds around you while walking in nature, and to your thoughts and emotions while you practice yoga asanas and in meditation.

This is a 6 hour retreat. Attendees will receive a full list of materials for the specific retreat they book. Participants should have a yoga mat however no prior yoga experience is required. Participants will receive a list of suitable foods to bring to break their fast which will be eaten in silence. No prior fasting experience is needed either. 


All retreats include 1 week access and a £5 voucher to the MEtime in Nature Virtual Mandala to support participants to continue to take nature-based breathers to enhance their wellbeing.

RESTORATION  WORKSHOPs Series
​1. emBODHI-ment, Unfurling Body Wisdom Nov 1st / Nov 11th
Fall awake to your body as the anchor for awareness, gratitude and compassion. Move, observe, journal  with music, meditation and breathwork. 

2. YOG-ART,  Merging Yoga Asana and Creative Expression  Nov 2nd/ Nov 12th
Allow the movement of your body and breath to guide your creative expression through writing and drawing.  Express yourself through yoga and art! Discover the power of creative movement. 

3. CATH-ART-IC EXPRESSION, Letting out, letting go Nov 3rd / Nov 13th
Release deep emotions through movement, tapping, writing, drawing, painting and meditation. Find healing through art and movement. Let go and let your creativity flow.

4. MANDAL-ART, Surrendering to the Earth as the Canvas Nov 4th / Nov 14th
Create your own masterpiece inspired by nature. Join us for a mindful mandala-making workshop. Create a unique mandala with natural objects encountered and collected on a mindful discovery walk.

5. TRANSCEN-DANCE, Embodied release Nov 5th / Nov 15th
Dance your way to freedom! Liberate your body, mind, and emotions through movement and meditation. Move, release, liberate body, mind and emotions with music, meditation and breathwork. 

6. AWE-BSERVATION, Looking through the lens of gratitude Nov 6th / Nov 16th
Find beauty in everything. Join us for a workshop on nature observation and gratitude. Walk, observe, meditate and capture beauty through photos or videos. Foster awe and gratitude for nature.  

Programme Overview
Workshops are 2 hrs in duration. Participants will need to have their own yoga mats however no prior yoga experience is required. Participants will receive a list of suitable foods to prepare for drinks and snacks which will be eaten at the end of the workshop. A list of possible materials will be provided however no formal training will be given as the focus is on therapeutic creative expression. Onsite workshops take place in Carnalea with a walk along the Crawfordsburn Coastal Path. 

All workshops include 1 week access and a £5 voucher to the 
MEtime in Nature Virtual Mandala to support participants to continue to take nature-based breathers to enhance their wellbeing.

MEtime in Nature Mandala Experience
Take a breather in this multidisciplinary, meditative installation merging spoken word, music, visual art, soundscapes and videos to reconnect with the elements - earth, water, fire, air, space, light with spirit being the guide for each playful, perhaps provoking and potentially peaceful individual journey.

​The MEtime in Nature Mandala Experience was developed with funding from Arts Council Northern Ireland and piloted at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University Belfast in 2023. 

It comprises of:
A. An on-site installation with 8 large 100 cm x 100 cm PVC prints of original artworks (mandalas) that can be hung to be displayed. These artworks contain original photographs that align to the Earth Elements/chakra centres.
B. An online virtual mandala with soundscapes, spoken word, songs and videos that connect with the printed mandalas and that can be accessed through QR codes. 
C. Live performance and guided meditative sessions

Mindful Walk, Carnalea To CRawfordsburn
​Join Juanita for a walk along the Crawfordsburn Coastal Path. The starting and ending point is Carnalea Station and the walk is along the Coastal Path and into a meadow at Crawfordsburn Country Park. The walk includes mindful walking, breathing and mandala making guided practices.

It is by donation with proceeds supporting our current fundraising campaigns to empower youth leadership amount NI, South African and Sudanese Youth.

I felt it was hugely beneficial - the love, care and attention which Juanita has put into creating such beautiful exhibits, which she has structured into pathways for self guided meditation has made such experiences accessible for me in a way which would not be possible otherwise - and it has opened my eyes to the fact that with some careful attention all these opportunities are open to me to experience such interactions with the natural world and my thoughts, feelings and perceptions - Thank you Juanita, the Mandala just been a beautiful, peaceful and nourishing experience.

​I realised how precious the earth is, and how precious life is. Naturally I was reminded of "the pale blue dot" by Carl Sagan. The mandala makes my resolve and conviction stronger to do more than what I am doing now towards preserving the earth and also towards making myself a better human being. 8 week mindfulness based stress reduction course
Learn practical stress reduction strategies in 8 sessions of mindfulness, yoga and guided reflection. This course includes weekly 2.5 hour classes, supported by home practice guidelines and a full day immersive retreat.

​The course has shown clinically relevant reductions in medical and psychological symptoms across a wide range of medical diagnosis, including chronic pain conditions and anxiety or panic. it is suitable for anyone who wants to:

ONE DAY MINDFULNESS RETREAT
Treat yourself to a day to pause, breathe & heal.  Disconnect and immerse in self-care. Develop present moment awareness of your body, breath, thoughts​ &​ emotions and explore your current stress and mindfulness levels. Learn about your personal stress triggers & indicators, and explore tools that you​ ​can use to be less reactive and more responsive in stressful situations.

Participants will receive a list of suitable foods to prepare for snacks and lunch which will be eaten in silence. A list of materials will also be provided. Onsite retreats in Belfast take place in Carnalea with walks along the Crawfordsburn Coastal Path and Country Park.

I feel like I have come a long way from week 1 of the course. I have seen the positive changes within myself. I have developed strategies to become my best possible self which makes me extremely happy and grateful. I have learnt to be more aware of things, how to just be with myself, how to create space for me to think in a difficult situation in order to respond rather than react. I have learnt how to decrease my emotional state in order to think clearly especially with difficult people. I have learnt to tel myself that it is okay to feel or think in this way. This course was an amazing experience and I will continue my training to be my best!

I started the mindfulness course with the intention of learning so I could apply the principles to better help my patients. A few sessions in, I stopped resisting and gave up that notion! I invested in learning about myself and giving myself the care. It is hard to stop healing and caring for others, to rather put myself first before the roles of mother, wife, psychologist etc. It has been and continues to be such a gift in daily living and I feel it has bettered me in all the roles I play. My course was given one on one via Skype. Worked beautifully for me. Thank you, Juanita for teaching me to be with me.
