Yoga, Meditation, Nature & Art Immersions
YOGA & MEDITATION SILENT RETREAT
Go deep by having a day of yoga, meditation and silence. Develop non-judgemental awareness of your body, breath, thoughts & emotions by listening deeply to your body as you move, the sounds around you while walking in nature, and to your thoughts and emotions while you meditate. This is a 6 hour retreat. Participants will need to have their own yoga mats however no prior yoga experience is required. Allow the movement of your body and breath to guide your creative expression in an art medium of your choice. 2. MANDAL-ART Workshop Create a unique mandala with natural objects encountered and collected on a mindful discovery walk. 3. AWE-BSERVATION Workshop Walk, observe, meditate and capture beauty through photos or videos. Foster awe and gratitude for nature. 4. CATH-ART-IC EXPRESSION Workshop Release deep emotions through movement, meditation and an art medium of your choice. 5. TRANSCEN-DANCE Workshop Move, release, liberate body, mind and emotions with music, meditation and breathwork. Programme Overview Workshops are 2.5 hrs. Take a breather in this multidisciplinary, meditative installation merging spoken word, music, visual art, soundscapes and videos to reconnect with the elements - earth, water, fire, air, space, light with spirit being the guide for each playful, perhaps provoking and potentially peaceful individual journey. The MEtime in Nature Mandala Experience was developed with funding from Arts Council Northern Ireland and piloted at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University Belfast in 2023. It comprises of: A. An on-site installation with 8 large 100 cm x 100 cm PVC prints of original artworks (mandalas) that can be hung to be displayed. These artworks contain original photographs that align to the Earth Elements/chakra centres. B. An online virtual mandala with soundscapes, spoken word, songs and videos that connect with the printed mandalas and that can be accessed through QR codes. C.
